Redefining dog nutrition - one bowl at a time
Crafted with care, powered by purpose - nourishing dogs and nurturing planet
A Heartfelt Note From Furrmate
Dear pet parents,
Our journey began with a simple realisation, sense of responsibility and one simple question: Can we give our pets the nutrition they need without relying on animal-based ingredients? We identified a critical gap in the commercial meat-based pet food industry, so we decided to create products that are good for health of our pets and aligns with the well-being of other animals & our planet.
Today, we create 100% plant-based (vegetarian) pet food and treats made with carefully selected, cruelty-free ingredients and thoughtfully developed with veterinarians and pet nutritionists. Every product is crafted to bring together the nutrition, taste, and goodness our pets deserve.
We invite you to be part of this journey, one bowl, one treat, and one wagging tail at a time. Because we love your pup as much as you do.
With love and dedication,
Team Furrmate
Our story
When our founders, Paras & Mahasweta, were living in london, they were excited to welcome a furry friend to their family. What began as excitement soon turned into a deeper concern when they started looking closely at what was going into commercial meat-based pet food. They discovered that the food available in the market was not only harmful to the dogs but also to the planet. They also heard from fellow pet parents about their dogs struggling with itchy skin, digestive issues, allergies and other health concerns, often raising questions about the quality of ingredients and meat by -products used in conventional pet food.
Like many pet parents, they had always believed that meat was an essential part of a dog’s diet. But as they learned more about canine nutrition, they discovered that dogs can thrive on carefully formulated 100% plant-based food when all their essential nutritional needs are met. That realization led to a bigger question - could we create a pet food that puts nutrition first, while being kinder to other animals and the planet?
Determined to find an answer, they moved to India and began working closely with veterinarians and pet nutritionists to develop science-backed products made from thoughtfully selected plant-based ingredients.
And that’s how was born Furrmate to give pet parents another choice: nutritious, delicious food for their pets that’s kinder to animals and better for our planet.
